Wat Mon Pu Yak (Santhan) : Lampang, Thailand

Wat Mon Pu Yak (Santhan) is located on a hill near the Wang river in the North-West area of Lampang. The local size of the area is about 15 rai and can be seen on the registered land copy number 196. Wat Mon Pu Yak (Santhan) is surrounded by a brick-wall and has a pagoda at the end of the vihara.

Both the temple and the church are located in the middle of the area.

Wat Mon Pu Yak was Built in the 2440s by two old men named Nanta-noi and Nanta-gleang and three women. All the western art buildings are made from teak and the ceiling are covered with mirrors, while the Pagoda is in Burmese Style.

In the past, during the rainy season, there ware a lot of. Plants in this area, but nowadays, there are only some big tamarind trees left. The villagers call it the tamarind forest.
