Wat Bang Kra Bao is on Ban Sarng-Bang Tan Road, Tambon Bang Kra Bao. It is far from Ban Sarng district office about 6 kilometers. This Temple belongs to the famous monk, “Luang Por Yad”. In the area of the temple, there are thousands of Lyle’s flying fox living in the trees.

Bang Kra Bao Temple is famous for the revered monk master, Luangpho Chat. Thousands of bats (Flying foxes) living on the trees, are found inside the temple. During the day, these creatures sleep with the head hanging on the branch of Jamjuri or Takien tree. The creature becomes icon which visitors would have taken photographed as a souvenir that they have reached the temple already. Visiters who stay at the temple until the evening would see the flock of Lyle’s flying fox spreading black wings and fly out looking for food. The flying fox would fly across to province and sometimes even fly to Nakhon Nayok or Chachoengsao province in order to seek for their favorite fruits.

Visitors may even have a chance to pay respect to Phra Rajbhattaaratada, the pastor of the temple. He is a monk who inherited intention from monk Sitthisarakun (Luang Por Jad), the formor pastor who is very famous and gain a lot of staunch followers. After visiting the temple, visitors can relax and view Bangpakong River or Prachinburi River flowing through the city and the temples with pleasant vibe. Visitors can feel the real sense of relaxation.
