Thung Sri Muang is located in the center, in front of the city hall. It is a public park with beautiful visual aspects in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. It is also a recreation place leisure and religious event venue.
Thung Sri Muang consists of models of magnificent carved candles, a health park, and a playground. In addition, there are many interesting places such as the Shrine of the City Pillar, Phra Pathum Worrarat Suriyawong Monument (Chao Kham Phong), and the sculpture of King Maha Virawong (Titso Aun), a monk respected for his meditation, and the Monument of Virtue established by foreign prisoners of war in World War II to commemorate mercy and virtue of the people of Ubon Ratchathani. It was originally called “Na Thung Si Muang”, a landmark of Ubon Ratchathani. It is important since the past, used to be the farm of the governors of Ubon Ratchathani and a place for Hastilinga ritual cremations of the governors.
