Tham Phet Pho Tong is a cave featuring beautiful stalagmites and stalactites and interesting landscapes in Sakaew, Thailand. It is simply divided into four zones.
First is the mouth of the cave which takes on a spacious oval area naturally decorated with white rocks; the second zone descends from the tunnel to a large hall where the sun shines through; the third zone is called “the pearl hall” where stalagmites and stalactites glittered again the light; and the fourth zone is where creamy stones and stalagmites forms interesting shapes with a Buddhist-image-like stalagmite resting as its highlight.
Upon arriving at the cave, visitors can also enjoy trekking through the lush Chan Pa forest preserved by the villagers.
Getting there: The cave is located near Tham Hat Sai Kaeo in Ban Khao Lueam in Amphoe Klong Had. Take Highway 317 and turn left into Highway 3067, then continue for four kilometers and turn left for another three kilometers.
