Khao Yoi is situated 200-kilometer to the east of Phetchaburi downtown. There are many important caves here such as Tham Phraputtasaiyat and the Buddha images in assorted sizes. Moreover, there is the imitating footprint near the cave. It has been told that when King Rama IX was in monkhood, he stayed in front of Khao Noi before moving into the cave for several nights.
In the cave, there is the Reclining Buddha. In the past, King Rama IV arrived here when he was in monkhood and meditated here for few nights. Besides, there is the Buddha footprint attached with gold leaf at the back of the Reclining Buddha. Moreover, people throw the gold coins to worship the footprint because they believe that they will become wealthy as if the gold color of the footprint.
Moreover, there is the tunnel or underground cave in the temple quad near the path to Tham Sawan and Tha Phrasian. Tham Sawan is next to the 50-meter high cliff to the east with the stairs and the walkway along the cliff leading to the cave. At the cave, the entrance is narrow, which requires the wooden and concrete ladder to go down to the beautiful quad created by the nature.
Tham Khoi or Tham Yao is the narrow and dark cave connecting with Tham Umong. Some parts are the swamp where numbers of bats are living in this cave. Tham Phrasian is located at the far end of the walkway leading to Tham Sawan. Tham Kotamo has two entrances, from Tham Phraaian to the west and on foot about 113 meters to reach the cave. The cave begins from the stairs at the quad in front of Wat Khao Yoi, taking 4,645 meters long.
