Sangkhalok Museum is situated in Village No. 4, Bypass Road, Ban Lum Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sukhothai. It was initiated by Mr. Kusol Suwatthanamekhin, a natural-born citizen of Sukhothai . He is determined to presenting his pride in the history of Sukhothai, Thailand’s first capital, and arts in the Sukhothai period to Thais and foreigners.
The aim is to create awareness of the significance and greatness of this city. He thus exhibited valuable pieces collected for over 50 years inside the museum including Buddha images, everyday necessities, as well as antique chinaware. The museum is organized in modern style in line with international standards. Here, visitors will experience the well-being of Sukhothai citizens in ancient times.
Antique chinaware is not only a collection but also a key jigsaw that can reflect the history and provide valuable insight for future generations. This museum will allow you to appreciate more than 2,000 chinaware from the collection, both domestic and international, and provide background information for those interested.
There are over 2,000 precious objects including antique chinaware from the collection, both domestic and abroad.
