One of the biggest tourist attractions in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, is The Royal Palace (formally Preah Barom Reachea Vaeng Chaktomuk) and The silver Pagoda. These constructions of the year 1860 are a great example of the beautiful and detailed architecture Khmer.
The Royal Palace of Phnom Penh is a must for any tourist in the city. The entire complex is walled and although open to the public, the Cambodian royal family lives in the Palace and therefore, certain areas are closed.
This huge complex mainly striking pointy roofs in golden color, reminiscent to some extent to Grand Palace in Bangkok.
