Phu Khao Hin Pakarang : Petchaboon, Thailand

Phu Khao Hin Pakarang is a distinctive so-called coral mountain covered with sharp grey rocks resembling corals, is 1,200 metres above sea level. Some of these rocks create a tinkling bell sound when hit with wood or a metal object. In addition, rare auspicious trees “Dracaena loureiri” are found growing here among mixed deciduous forest. Visitors can enjoy the scenic view from the summit.

To get there: From Bangkok, travel via Highway No. 21 to Na Chaliang Intersection. Turn left towards Tambon Sap Phutsa for 16 kilometres. Then, take a right turn at the T-junction for Amphoe Chon Daen and proceed for a further 5 kilometres. Turn left and continue for another 3 kilometres for Khao Hin Pakarang.
