Thara Sawan Waterfall Forest Park is located at Moo 1, Moo 5, Moo 6 Tambol Kuankalong, Amphur Kuankalong, Satun. It is in the Sanctuary Park Khao Mha Mai Yok. Most of the area is preserved for conservation. There are steep hills which are very beautiful. Here is the origin of the ecosystem and also suitable for relaxation.
The weather is divided into 2 seasons which are summer starting from February to April and rainy season starting from May to January. The rain is heavy during November to January.
There are many seedlings that are important such as dipterocarpus, iron wood, Krabach tree, bamboo, rattan palm tree and many important medical plants. The animals that are found here are such as wild rooster, monkey, langur, porcupine, gibbon, bat, deer, tiger, bear and many kinds of birds.
The tourists can travel here by private car, taking the Hatyai-Satul route then take the Toong Tam Sao junction to Yontrakarnkamtorn-Prachasongkro-Baan Soi 10 Road to the entrance of Tarasawan Waterfall. It is around 19 kilometers from the Forest Preserve Department Unit 1 (Thoong Nui).
