Mae La Luang is a village and tambon (sub-district) of Mae La Noi District, in Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand. Take the highway 108 about 25km out of town there’s a nice little coffee shop and viewpoint at a place called Mae La Luang Viewpoint that’s worth stopping at for a short break. Watching greenery is one of the best ways to help us feel relaxed. This “Mae La Luang” viewpoint is one among greenery places that you can relax your eyes and feel refreshed.
It’s worth stopping after a long journey on the road in the mountains between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son province. “Mae La Luang Viewpoint” can attract many visitors to stop by and see its natural beauty.
Nearby are some Hill Tribe Villages and Kaew Komon an ancient calcite crystal cave if you’ve got the time. NOTE this cave is only open October to April (not open rainy season), it is on the map under the name “Kaeo Komon Cave Forest Park”. Entrance is 50 Baht/person.
