It is officially announced to be a National Park.

Mountain ranges blanket with the dawn mist is the memorable image of Lam Nam Nan National Park. It is one of the fascinating place in Thailand to visit due to Its various types of forest and being the headwater of Sirikit reservoir. The highest of the National Park is Doi Phu Phaya Por with the height of 1,350 metres from the sea level, used as the border marker between Phrae and Uttaradit province.
