No wonder kayakers often find some small and peaceful spots for a swim or sunbath around this island.

Koh Talabeng is a small, narrow island rested in north-south derection. The island is mailny limestone mountains with snaky coastlines in the west. So there are some attractive beaches and bays there, the most interesting of which is Ao Hua Koh Talabeng. This bay is the start of kayak activity, which is the major activity of the island.

The longest bay of Koh Talabeng is Ao Bon, which is located in the south. The area is quite nice for swimming. At the southern tip of the island is a cave called Tham Yai Prasert where beautiful stalagmite and stalactite and found, as well as a wide pond that is also safe for swimming. The best time to come to Koh Talabeng is from October to November.

In the past, the beauty of Koh Talabeng was hidden, or rather overcast, by the shining islands of Kh Phi Phi. Yet, after tourism has grown further, smaller islands nearby, including Koh Talabeng, have now be opened to all visitors. Most of tourists who visit Koh Talabeng enjoy kayaking along the beach and visiting caves and caverns on the island. The trip to this island is occasionally accompanied with a visit to Koh Bu Bu. So a lot of visiters choose to spend 3-4 hours kayaking here and the get to Koh Bu Bu for a nice sunbath afterward or vice versa.

There are no accommodations on the island, so visitors need to spend the night at Koh Bu Bu or Koh Lanta instead.

Getting There;
From Krabi town to Koh Lanta: get a van which usually parks opposite City Hotel. The van will cross the sea by raft for vehicles from the mainland to Koh Lanta Noi.
From Koh Lanta Noi to Koh Talabeng: From Koh Lanta Noi which is the nearest island to Koh Talabeng, go to Ban Loh Yai and hire a boat to the island. The journey takes only around 15 minures.
