Koh Lamphu is a tiny island that sits in the Tapi River in Thailand. This flat piece of land is a gorgeous park that has many interesting things to look at. The island itself is pretty small in size and is less than 1 kilometre long. No vehicles are allowed on the island and people can freely go around by foot.
Most of the people who visit the island are the patrons of the food stalls and vendors down the waterfront. They buy their meals or snacks, walk to the island, pick a spot with a great view, and settle down to while the evening or night away.
The bridge that leads to the island begins at the City Pillar Shrine in Surat. After you leave the bridge, take the first left and a few feet ahead, you will spot the entrance to the island on your left. After that, you will pass the stalls and food vendors and find yourself inside the park.
