Koh Khai Nok is one of the three islands part of Khai Islands recognized as a great destination for snorkeling, especially when travelling with kids. On top of Koh Khai Nok, the group of Khai islands comprises: Koh Khai Nai and Koh Khai Nui.
It takes around 30 minutes from the East coast of Phuket to get to Khai islands and reach the beautiful Koh Khai Nok located in a secluded part of Phang Nga Bay.
Koh Khai Nok has a size of a football pitch with a small rocky peninsula. Large stretch of white sandy beach and shallow water overflowing with colorful tropical fishes make it an ideal destination for a day trip. More than twelve types of colorful tropical fishes can be found in the emerald water boarding Koh Kai Nok. Used to human presence in the waters, fishes are not afraid anymore and you may be able to swim among shoals of stripes tropical fishes.
On another part of Koh Khai Islands, Koh Kai nui, the smallest of the three islands offers a sight of wonderful colorful coral reefs. Koh Khai Nai, the biggest island provides a large beach to relax.
Due to its idyllic scenery, Koh Khai Nok provides loads of opportunity to take pictures and make your friends green with envy back home. Some may just lay down under the mellow shadow of their umbrella and enjoy the bright scenery with turquoise water spreading in front of their eyes. Others will enjoy taking selfie with tropical fishes as a backdrop. In spite of its size, Koh Khai Nok also has some restaurants and souvenirs stalls where you can buy handicraft souvenirs, beach wears, dive equipment or t-shirts.
