The pure and natural Klong Pla Kang Waterfall is in Khao Chamuang-Khao Wong National Park. The jungle is on along the sides of the waterfall which is suitable for the tourists who love nature.
The uncommon wild orchids, ferns, herbs, and mushroom are found here such as cookeina speciose. Some areas of the jungle are covering with moss which colors the whole area with green. Numbers of Mahseer barb swim in the clear water.
Klong Pla Kang Waterfall, Khao Chamuang-Khao Wong National Park, Rayong Province, is the small waterfall that is probably unknown to the tourists, although it is only 4-kilometer far from Khao Chamao Waterfall. This waterfall is 3-kilometer long including the stream in the middle of the tropical rain forest. There are lots of big trees along the sides of the stream.
Formerly, this waterfall was named Klong Pla Kang Waterfall because there were lots of Dwarf snakehead (Pla Kung) which later was changed to Pla Kang. The officer says that the numbers of the fish decrease from the past.
This waterfall consists of main seven floors which divided into small floors: Wang Chang Phan (100 meters), Lan Phi Sue (220 meters), Ang Krue Saba (320 meters), Lan Pratu Pha (470 meters), Than Ko Klang (730 meters), Wang Krachai (780 meters), and Than Sai Mok (1000 meters), 3,620 meters in total.
This is the beautiful layer waterfall. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn was the Chairman of the grand opening and named this waterfall.
