Bukit Tabur : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Bukit Tabur is a hill located in Selangor, Malaysia. It is also known locally as Bukit Hangus. The hill is very prominent as it is part of Klang Gates Quartz Ridge and can be seen from the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2.

A spiny quartz ridge hill in northwest Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Tabur, or Bukit Hangus as it is also known, is part of the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge, the longest and oldest quartz ridge in the world, said geologists.

The 396m Bukit Tabur is located within the jurisdiction of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) and Selayang Municipal Council (MPS). However, the management and maintenance of the hill falls under the purview of the Selangor Forestry Department.

Due to its vicinity to the city centre, many hikers regularly attempt to climb the hill on weekends.
