Bang Saen Walking Street is a tourist attraction established about mid-2009 in order to create a variety of the places to visit in Bangsaen. It also enhances the economy resulting from tourism to the local people as well. Bang Saen Walking Street is a great place to shop for a variety of styles, including food and beverages, clothing, jewelry, handmade items, photographing, and many other goods from merchants, as well as goods sold by students to earn extra money. Moreover, there are also live music performances from professional and amateur musicians.
At the beginning of the establishment of Bang Saen Walking Street, there were few products and shops. At that time, those who visited the walking street said that it was just a small street. But nowadays, the previous image seems to be removed because this street is full of many products with their category such as general products, handmade products, food stalls with dining tables. There are so many sellers and walkers that the parking area is hardly sufficient. However, even though it is crowded, the atmosphere is still cool because the street is located by the sea.
Bang Saen Walking Street is open every Friday and Saturday since there are a lot of tourists, beneficial to the shops, shoppers, and tourism of Bang Saen. The walking street is open from 18.00 – 24.00 (unless Bangsaen holds special events during holidays, the walking street may not be open).
There is a spacious parking area at Laem Tan, but on Friday and Saturday nights, it is quite difficult to find a parking lot because some part of the parking space is used as an area of the walking street. Plus, there are tourists who hang out at Laem Tan and people who walk around Bang Saen Walking Street; this makes the parking lots are quickly full. If you intend to visit here, you should arrive early for the convenience of parking.
