Baan Thung Yee Pheng is a medium-size community that is located near the beach on the east of Koh Lanta Yai. People living here are Muslim who migrated here since hundred year ago. People do fishery and rubber tree garden.

Baan Thung Yee Pheng is a medium-size community that is located near the beach on the east of Koh Lanta Yai. People living here are Muslim who migrated here since hundred year ago. The village was named after “To Yee Phen”, a man who moved to live in this village. When he died, this area was called “Thung Yee Pheng”. People do fishery and rubber tree garden.

The natural resources are very plentiful, especially the conserved mangrove forest which is covering 700 rai. There is the nature trail to enjoy the mangrove forest, monkeys, varieties of bird species, and Fiddler crabs. People lifestyle is very simple.

Enjoy tasting delicious traditional food, fresh seafood, and visiting the tourist attractions in the community such as Khlong Tao Than, Ao Lunta, Khlong Tha, the pond in mangrove forest, Ko Ta La Beng, Koh Ung, Laem Chao Lay (Long-tailed macaque Community), and the monkey training school.
