Ao Nam Mao is a beautiful part of Thailand and, like most of Krabi Province in which it is based, features limestone karsts, emerald-green lakes, turquoise sea and white-sand beaches. Only four kilometres from the lively Ao Nang, Ao Nam Mao has a laid-back vibe and offers easy access to Shell Fossil Beach and Krabi Aquarium.
Step into a secluded world of sea-facing vacationing with a wide selection of rooms and bungalows. These include a 3-star contemporary colonial-style, an eco-friendly three-storey building and many more 2-star properties. Make the most of your stay at Ao Nam Mao by planning your accommodation beforehand.
Ao Nam Mao is a stretch of beach lying directly between Krabi town and Railay. It is slowly beginning to get some attention in the eye of hotel and resort developers, but still relatively quiet and undeveloped. The beach itself stretches over three kilometers, wrapping around coves and the undulating stretch of Ao Nam Mao.
There are places throughout the beach where trees and undergrowth extend onto the beach, meeting the high tide mark, which creates some very secluded areas with trees and brush on either side.
